Shelter Program

At Safe Alternatives for Abused Families, we believe that everyone deserves to have a home own they can call their own even if it’s just temporary. This include families, individuals, and children who feel neglected as a result of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse. Basic necessities will also be provided for the duration. Contact us in Devils Lake, North Dakota for more details regarding our shelter program.

Eligibility

Shelter is provided for anyone (men, women, and their children) who are not safe in their house because of domestic and/or sexual abuse. Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with the only exception being a married person under the age of 18.

Duration

Shelter is only a temporary solution and duration is based on a case-by-case basis as assessed by the staff. Guests are expected to be actively pursuing alternative housing, striving to meet goals they have set for themselves, and they must follow shelter policies.
